  • Do not connect the hydraulic brake system or vacuum system of your vehicle to the trailer. This may result in inadequate braking and possible injury.
  • Towing requires a trailer brake control module when towing a trailer with electric brakes. When towing a trailer equipped with a hydraulic brake system, a trailer brake control module is not required.
  • Trailer brakes are recommended for trailers weighing more than 1,000 lbs (453 kg) and are required for trailers weighing more than 2,000 lbs (907 kg).
