Battery Replacement

If replacement becomes necessary, replace the battery with an original battery having the same specifications.

If a battery with different specifications is used, the intervals specified in the "Scheduled Maintenance Plan" become void.

For proper maintenance, follow the battery manufacturer's instructions.

Improper installation of electrical accessories can cause serious damage to the vehicle. If you want accessories installed after purchasing the vehicle (alarm systems, radiotelephone, etc.), contact the Fiat Service Network, which can recommend suitable accessories and determine whether a higher-capacity battery must be installed.
Batteries contain substances that are highly hazardous to the environment. For battery replacement, we recommend contacting the Fiat Service Network, which is equipped to dispose of it in an environmentally responsible manner and in accordance with legal regulations.Note

If the vehicle must be stored for an extended period in severe cold, remove the battery and bring it to a warm room, otherwise it could freeze.
