Rear wiper / rear washer

It operates only with the ignition key in the MAR position.

Turning dial B fig. 21 from position O to positionthe rear wiper operates as follows:

• in intermittent mode when the windscreen wiper is not running;
• in synchronised mode (at half the frequency of the windscreen wiper) when the windscreen wiper is running;
• in continuous mode with reverse engaged and control active.

With the wiper running and reverse engaged, the rear wiper is activated in continuous mode.

Pushing the lever toward the dashboard (unstable position) operates the rear washer jet. Holding the lever pushed for more than half a second also activates the rear wiper. When the lever is released, intelligent washing is activated, as for the windscreen wiper.

The function ends when the lever is released.

CAUTION 4) Do not use the windscreen wiper or rear wiper to clear accumulated layers of snow or ice from the windscreen or rear window. In such conditions, if the windscreen wiper or rear wiper is subjected to excessive strain, the motor overload protection intervenes, inhibiting operation for even several seconds. If operation is not restored afterwards (even after restarting the vehicle with the key), contact the Fiat Service Network.

5) Do not operate the windscreen wiper or rear wiper with the blades lifted off the windscreen or rear window.

6) If it is necessary to clean the windscreen or rear window, make sure the device is switched off.
