To jump start the vehicle, proceed as follows:

  • connect the positive (+) jump lead clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the discharged battery;
  • connect the other positive (+) jump lead clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the booster battery;
  • connect the negative (-) jump lead clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the booster battery;
  • connect the other negative (-) jump lead clamp to an earthing point on the engine (an exposed metal part of the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery), away from the battery and the fuel injection system;
  • start the engine of the vehicle with the booster battery and let it idle for a few minutes. Then start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery.
