PINPOINT TEST T: U1000:00

Normal Operation and Fault Symptoms

The BCM uses solid-state drivers (field effect transistors (FET)) to control the output of several vehicle systems. When any of these drivers is overloaded, the BCM turns off the output and monitors the number of repeated faults on each of these circuits. The module compares this number of overloads with three progressive thresholds set for each circuit. At each threshold, DTC U1000:00 is set together with the DTC associated with the affected circuit. For additional information, refer to Module-Controlled Functions Overview (Multifunction Electronic Modules 419-10, Description and Operation).
