WARNING

The keyless vehicle opening function may not work if the key is near metal objects or electronic devices, such as a mobile phone.

The keyless vehicle opening function will not work when:

  • The vehicle battery is discharged.
  • The passive key frequencies are being interfered with.
  • The passive key battery is discharged.

Note: If the keyless vehicle opening function does not work, you will need to use the key blade to lock or unlock the vehicle.

The keyless system allows the driver to operate the vehicle without using a key or remote control.

Passive locking and unlocking requires a valid passive key to be placed in one of the three exterior detection zones. These are approximately 1.5 meters from the driver's and front passenger's door handles and the tailgate.

Passive key

The vehicle can be locked and unlocked with the passive key. The passive key can also be used as a remote control transmitter. See Locking and unlocking.
