  1. Vehicle with discharged battery
  2. Vehicle with booster battery
  3. Positive terminal connection lead
  4. Negative terminal connection lead

1. Position the vehicles so that they do not touch each other.

2. Switch off the engine and all electrical consumers.

3. Connect the positive (+) terminal of vehicle B to the positive (+) terminal of vehicle A (lead C).

4. Connect the negative (-) terminal of vehicle B to an earth point on vehicle A (lead D). See Battery connection points.

NOTES

  • Never connect a lead to the negative (-) terminal of the discharged battery.

  • Make sure that none of the leads touches moving parts.
