Fitting the front passenger airbag deactivation switch

WARNING

If you want to install a baby carrier or child seat on a front seat protected by an airbag, your vehicle must be fitted with a front passenger airbag deactivation switch.

For further information, contact an authorised Ford dealer.

Note: The key-operated switch is located in the glovebox, and the airbag deactivated indicator lamp is on the instrument panel.

If the airbag warning lamp illuminates or flashes while driving, there is a fault. See Warning and indicator lights (page 62).

Remove the child seat and have the system checked by a specialist without delay.
