Note: Do not cover the key with metal objects. This may prevent the receiver from recognizing a valid key.

Note: If a key is lost, erase the codes from all remaining keys and recode them. For further information, contact an authorized Ford dealer.

Replacement keys must be coded together with the existing keys.

If a key is lost, you can obtain a replacement key from an authorized Ford dealer. If possible, give the dealer the key number from the tag supplied with the original keys. You can also obtain additional keys from an authorized Ford dealer.

Activating the engine immobilizer system

The engine immobilizer system is activated automatically a short time after the ignition is switched off.
