Description
Fault Trigger Conditions
P0504:00
Brake Switch "A"/"B" Correlation
This DTC sets when the PCM does not detect the correct brake pedal input sequence from both the cruise control deactivation switch and the brake light switches when the brake pedal is pressed and released.
P0572:00
Brake Switch "A" Low
This DTC sets when the PCM detects an open circuit in the brake light switch signal. The PCM monitors vehicle speed, engine speed, engine torque and brake light switch input during start and stop cycles. If the PCM brake light switch input is always off during start and stop cycles, this DTC sets as a continuous memory DTC.
P0573:00
Brake Switch "A" Circuit High
This DTC sets when the PCM detects a short to voltage in the brake light switch signal. The PCM monitors vehicle speed, engine speed, engine torque and brake light switch input during start and stop cycles. If the PCM brake light switch input is always on during start and stop cycles, this DTC sets as a continuous memory DTC.
P1703:00
Brake Switch Out of Self-Test Range
This DTC sets in the PCM during the self-test when the brake light switch input is high or does not toggle between high and low.
P1935:00
Brake Switch/Sensor Signal
This DTC sets when the PCM does not receive a brake switch input on the brake switch signal circuit for ACC deactivation.
