The key cylinder is located under a cap on the driver door handle.

To remove the cap:

Ford Fusion. Using the Key Blade
  1. Insert a flat-blade key into the slot on the bottom of the handle and apply upward pressure.
  2. While maintaining upward pressure, slide the cap rearward to release it. Carefully remove the key at the same time.

To install the cap:

Ford Fusion. Using the Key Blade
  1. Place the cap directly in front of the key cylinder.
  2. While pressing on the cap, slide it forward until it locks into place. You may hear a click when it engages.

Make sure the cap is installed correctly by attempting to slide it rearward.
