DANGER

Do not overfill the fuel tank. Pressure built up in an overfilled tank can cause leaks, spill fuel and start fires.

Do not attempt to pry or apply pressure with foreign objects on a fuel filler system without a cap. This could damage the fuel system and its seal and cause injury to you and others.

During refuelling, do not remove the fuel nozzle from its fully inserted position.

When refuelling, always switch off the engine and make sure the fuel tank filler valve is never near open flames or sparks. Do not smoke or use a mobile phone during refuelling. Fuel vapours are extremely dangerous under certain conditions. Avoid inhaling excessive fumes.

Wait at least 10 seconds before removing the fuel nozzle to allow any residual fuel to drip into the fuel tank.

Stop refuelling when the fuel nozzle shuts off automatically for the second time. Otherwise, excess fuel will fill the expansion chamber of the fuel tank and may cause fuel to overflow.

Note: The vehicle is not fitted with a fuel filler cap.

Note: Before refuelling the vehicle, extinguish all smoking materials and naked flames.

Fuel Filler Flap

Pull the release lever at the floor on the driver's side to open the fuel filler flap.

  1. Type 1: left-hand side - Press the fuel filler flap to open it.
  2. Type 1: right-hand side - Press the fuel filler flap to open it.
  3. Type 2: left-hand side - Pull the fuel filler flap to open it.
  4. Type 2: right-hand side - Pull the fuel filler flap to open it.
  5. Fully open the fuel filler flap until it locks.

Note: When the correct-size nozzle of the filling station fuel pump is inserted, a spring-loaded safety device opens.
  1. Insert the fuel nozzle up to the first notch A. Rest it on the fuel filler opening flap.

  2. Hold the fuel nozzle in position B during refuelling. Holding the nozzle in position A may affect fuel flow and cause the nozzle to shut off before the tank is full.

  3. Activate the fuel nozzle in the indicated area.

  4. Once refuelling is complete, lift the fuel nozzle slightly and withdraw it slowly.
  5. Fully close the fuel filler flap.
Note: Do not attempt to start the engine if the tank has been filled with the wrong type of fuel. Using the wrong fuel type may cause damage not covered by the vehicle warranty. Have the vehicle checked immediately.
