DANGER
To reduce the risk of vehicle damage and/or personal burns, do not start the engine with the air filter removed, and do not remove it while the engine is running.
Note: Using an incorrect air filter element may cause serious engine damage.
Replacing the Air Filter Element- Remove the four screws securing the air filter housing cover.
- Carefully separate the two halves of the air filter housing.
- Remove the air filter element from the filter housing.
- Clean the air filter housing and cover to remove dirt or debris and ensure a good seal.
- Install a new air filter element. Take care not to pinch the edges of the element between the filter housing and the cover. This could damage the filter and allow unfiltered air to enter the engine, as the element is not seated correctly.
- Refit the air filter housing cover and secure it with the screws.
