Driver Customized Suspension provides a unique driving experience through a set of sophisticated electronic systems. These systems continuously monitor your driving inputs and road conditions to optimize ride comfort, steering comfort and handling.
Driver Customized Suspension consists of the following systems:
- Continuous Damping Control adjusts the stiffness of the shock absorbers dynamically and in real time to suit the road surface and the driver's inputs. The system constantly monitors vehicle movement (roll, pitch, bounce), suspension position, load, speed, road conditions and steering angle to adjust suspension damping and provide optimal vehicle control.
- Electronic power steering allows you to adjust the steering feel and steering effort according to vehicle speed and your inputs.
You can set the drive modes when your vehicle is in Drive (D) or Sport (S). The setting is retained until you change it from the main menu of the information display. See General Information (page 89).
Modes:
- Comfort - Provides a more relaxed driving experience for optimum comfort. Steering effort is lower and suspension movement is smoother. Comfort mode is ideal if you want improved driving comfort.
- Normal - Provides a balance between comfort, driving control and handling. This mode offers an engaging driving experience and a direct connection to the road, without sacrificing the calm needed to drive a vehicle.
- Sport - Provides a more sporty driving experience. The suspension is firmer. Handling and control are the focus of the drive.
The engine responds more directly to your inputs. Sport mode is ideal if you want more lively driving.
