Doing Your Own Service Work

~1min read

If you perform some of your own service work, use the appropriate service manual. It tells you much more about how to service the vehicle than this owner's manual can. To order the correct service manual, see Ordering Publications Information.

This vehicle has an airbag system. Before attempting to do your own service work, see Servicing Your Airbag-Equipped Vehicle.

If equipped with remote vehicle start, open the hood before performing any service work to prevent the vehicle from starting remotely by accident. See Remote Vehicle Start.

Keep a record of all parts purchases and note the mileage and date of any service work performed. See Maintenance Records.
