Driver and Passenger Safety
Child Transport on the Rear Seat
In this manual: Driver and Passenger Safety
~1min read
Vehicle accident statistics show that maximum safety for children of any age and height is ensured when appropriate child restraint systems installed on the rear seat are used correctly. It is strongly recommended to transport children under 12 years of age using child restraint systems installed on the rear seat of the vehicle.
Transporting children on the rear seat reduces the risk of injury from striking hard interior trim elements in an accident or sudden braking. In addition, when children are transported on the rear seat, they cannot be injured by the deployment of a front or side airbag.
