Vehicle Modification

~1min read

Removing or modifying equipment, or using parts not approved by Honda, may cause serious deterioration of handling, stability, reliability and safety of the vehicle.

Some examples are:

• Do not reduce ground clearance by using suspension components not designed for this vehicle, as this may cause an unexpected impact with an obstacle or road irregularity, which may cause the airbags to deploy suddenly.

• Do not increase ground clearance by using suspension components not designed for your vehicle either, as this may cause deterioration of vehicle handling, loss of directional stability and a subsequent crash.

• Do not install wheels not recommended by Honda, as this may cause excessive stress to develop in the suspension components.

• Do not install wheels and tires whose sizes differ from the standard wheels and tires, otherwise the operation of the anti-lock brake system and some other systems may be impaired.

• Do not modify the steering wheel, other steering system components, or any other devices or systems on which vehicle safety depends.
