Adjustment

Transmission Control Module (TCM) Learning

If a shift shock occurs or when parts related to the transmission are replaced, TCM learning must be performed. TCM learning is required in the following cases.
  • Transaxle Assembly Replacement
  • TCM Replacement
  • TCM Upgrade

TCM Learning Procedure

  1. Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) temperature: 40 ~ 100 °C
  2. Static Learning: Repeat the shift pattern described below four or more times while depressing the brake pedal.
  3. Driving Learning: Drive the vehicle from a standstill in D range through all gears: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, while holding the accelerator pedal at the specified Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) value (15 ~ 25%).
