Front Door Latch Repair Procedures

Replacement

   Remove the front door module. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Module")

   To remove the front door outside handle base connector (A), spread both sides of the wiring retainer (A), then pull the front door outside handle base connector toward the front.

   Loosen the front door regulator module mounting bolt.

   Disconnect the front door lock connector (A).

   Remove the front door latch assembly (B) by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

   Disconnect the front door inside handle, then disconnect the cable by pulling it rearward.

   Disconnect the front door outside handle cable (A) from the front door, then remove the support bracket (B).

   Install in the reverse order of removal.

   Make sure the connector is properly connected. Check that the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly. Replace all damaged clips.
