This sensor indicates the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

✽ NOTICE

  • Refer to Section 8 for the fuel tank capacity.
  • In addition to the fuel gauge needle, a low fuel warning light illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
  • On hills or curves, the fuel gauge may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may illuminate earlier than normal due to fuel movement in the tank.

WARNING

Running out of fuel may put the vehicle occupants in danger.

Stop and refuel as soon as possible after the warning light illuminates or when the fuel gauge needle approaches the "E (Empty)" level.

CAUTION

Avoid driving with an extremely low fuel level. Running out of fuel may cause engine misfire and damage to the catalytic converter.
