If the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop the vehicle.
2. With the engine off, check the brake fluid level immediately and add fluid as necessary (refer to "Brake Fluid" in Chapter 7 for more details). Then check all brake components for fluid leaks. If a leak in the brake system is detected, the warning light remains on, or the brakes do not operate properly, do not drive the vehicle. In this case, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Dual Diagonal Brake System
Your vehicle is equipped with a dual diagonal brake system. This means you still have braking on two wheels even if one of the dual systems should fail.
With only one of the dual systems working, a longer than normal pedal travel and greater pedal pressure are required to stop the vehicle.
In addition, the vehicle will not stop as quickly with only part of the brake system working.
If the brakes fail while driving, shift to a lower gear for additional engine braking and stop the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
WARNING
Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light
Driving the vehicle with the warning light on is dangerous. If the Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light comes on with the parking brake released, it indicates that the brake fluid level is low.
In this case, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING
Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) System Warning Light
When both the ABS and Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Lights are on, the brake system will not operate normally and you may encounter an unexpected and dangerous situation during sudden braking.
In this case, avoid high-speed driving and sudden braking.
In this case, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
✽ NOTICE - Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) System Warning Light
When the ABS warning light or both the ABS and parking brake and brake fluid warning lights are on, the speedometer, odometer, or trip meter may not operate. In addition, the EPS warning light may come on and steering wheel effort may increase or decrease.

If the belt is adjusted correctly, the problem may be in the electrical charging system.
In this case, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light

This indicator light illuminates:
- As soon as you turn the Engine Start/Stop button to ON.
- Stays on until the engine is started. - When the engine oil pressure is low.
