Seat belt maintenance

~1min read

Seat belts must never be disassembled or modified. Also, make sure that the belts and related components are not damaged by seat hinges, doors, or other improper use.

Periodic Inspection

Seat belts must be inspected periodically for wear or damage of any kind. Damaged parts must be replaced as soon as possible.

Keep Seat Belts Clean and Dry

Seat belts must always be kept clean and dry. If the belts become dirty, they can be cleaned using a solution of mild soap and warm water. Bleach, dye, strong detergents, or abrasives must not be used, as they can damage and weaken the fabric.

Seat Belt Replacement

If the vehicle is involved in an accident, the seat belts in use must be completely replaced, even if no damage is visible. It is recommended to consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
