WARNING

  • Never turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" or "ACC" position in an emergency while the vehicle is moving. The engine will stop and the loss of power will affect steering and braking assistance. This will adversely affect steering and braking functions, which may cause an accident.
  • Before leaving the vehicle, make sure the gear shift lever is in first gear for a manual transmission, or in P (Park) for an automatic transmission. Apply the parking brake, then turn the ignition key to the LOCK position.

Sudden movement of the vehicle may occur if you do not observe these precautions.
