Operating Conditions

- When the starter button is in the ON position
- When the gear shift lever is in D or R
- When the vehicle speed does not exceed 10 km/h
Press the Parking Assist button to the ON position to activate the parking assist system. The button indicator illuminates.
To deactivate the system, press the button again. The button indicator turns off.
- The system operates automatically whenever the vehicle speed is below 10 km/h with the system activated.
- When the gear shift lever is shifted to R with the system turned off, the button indicator illuminates and the system operates automatically regardless of the button status. However, if the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h in a forward gear, the button indicator turns off. The system will no longer operate automatically even if the vehicle speed returns to 10 km/h. To activate the system, press the Parking Assist button.
- If more than two objects are detected simultaneously, the farthest object close to the vehicle will be detected first.
Types of Warning Sounds and Indicators

Intelligent
- The indicator may differ from the illustration, such as the object or sensors status. If the indicator flashes, we recommend that you have your vehicle's system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If you do not hear the warning sound or if the alarm sounds intermittently when the reverse (R) gear is engaged, this may be due to a malfunction of the Parking Assist System. In this case, we recommend that you have your vehicle's system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
