DEPOSIT

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front bumper cover. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Cover")
  3. Loosen the headlamp mounting bolts and disconnect the headlamp connector (B). Then remove the headlamp assembly (A).

REMEDY

  1. Install the headlamp bulbs.
  2. Connect the connectors.
  3. Install the headlamp with the headlamp mounting bolts (3 pcs.).
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Headlamps must be adjusted using appropriate aiming equipment, in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's instructions.Turn the adjusting wheel alternately to adjust the light direction forward. If aiming equipment is not available, perform the following procedure:
  1. Inflate the tires to the specified pressure and remove any additional weight from the vehicle except the driver, spare tire, and tools.
  2. The vehicle must be on a level surface.
  3. Draw a vertical line (vertical line passing through the center of each headlamp) and a horizontal line (line passing through the center of the headlamp) on the screen.
  4. When the headlamps and battery are in good condition, adjust the headlamps so that the brightest part of the beam is on the horizontal and vertical lines. A: Vertical (Left/Right) B: Horizontal (Down, Up) [STANDARD]

FRONT FOG LAMP ADJUSTMENT: Front fog lamps must be adjusted in the same way as the headlamps. With the fog lamps and battery in normal condition, adjust the fog lamps by turning the adjusting screw (A) with a screwdriver.

HEADLAMP AND FOG LAMP AIMING POINT
  1. Turn on the low beam headlamps with no driver in the vehicle. The cutoff line must be within the allowable range shown in the illustration. If the vehicle is equipped with a manual leveling device, set the leveling switch to the "ON" position. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic leveling device, initialize it using the diagnostic tool to the parameter.
  2. Headlamp (High Beam)
    • Turn on the high beam headlamps with no driver in the vehicle.
    • The cutoff line must be within the line indicated in the illustration.
    • When adjusting the low beam, adjust the vertical aim after adjusting the horizontal aim.
    • If there is a headlamp leveling switch, set it to the 0 position.
  3. Turn on the front fog lamps with no driver in the vehicle. The cutoff line must be within the allowable range shown in the illustration.
Headlamp Fogging: Check the procedure below when the headlamp is fogged.

REPLACEMENT

Headlamp (Low/High)
  1. Turn off the lamp switch.
  2. Remove the dust cap (A).
  3. Remove the headlamp bulb (low/high beam) (A).
  4. Disconnect the bulb socket connector (B).
  5. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
  6. Turn off the lamp switch.
  7. Turn the bulb socket (A) counterclockwise and remove it from all headlamps.
  8. Remove the turn signal bulb from the socket.
  9. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
  10. Turn off the headlamp power.
  11. Disconnect the static bending light connector (A) and disconnect the locking clip (B).
  12. Remove the static bending light bulb (A).
