FILLING AND BLEEDING ENGINE COOLANT
(DRAIN)- Make sure the engine and radiator are cold to the touch.
- Remove the reserve tank cap (A).

- Remove the engine undercover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Undercover")
- Loosen the drain plug (A) and drain the coolant.

- Tighten the radiator drain plug securely.
- After draining the engine coolant from the reservoir, clean the reservoir.
- Fill the radiator with water through the reservoir opening and install the cap.
- Start the engine and let it warm up to normal operating temperature. Wait until the cooling fans have activated several times. Increase engine speed to remove trapped air. Turn off the engine.
- Wait until the engine has cooled down.
- Repeat steps 1-3 until drained water is no longer discharged.
- Slowly fill the coolant and water mixture (55~60%) (except North America, Europe and China: 45~50%) slowly through the reserve tank cap. Squeeze the upper/lower radiator hoses to bleed air.
- Start the engine and let it run while the coolant circulates. When the cooling fan is operating and the coolant is circulating, add coolant through the radiator cap.
- Repeat steps 1 through 11 until the cooling fan has rotated 3 to 5 times, and bleed sufficient air from the cooling system.
- Install the radiator cap and fill the reservoir with coolant to the "MAX" (or "F") line.
- Run the vehicle at idle while the cooling fan operates 2 to 3 times.
- Stop the engine and wait until the coolant is cold.Coolant capacity: 6.4 L (1.68 US gal, 6.76 US qt, 5.63 liters)
