Fuel Tank Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

   Release the residual pressure in the fuel line. (Refer to Fuel System - "Fuel Line Residual Pressure Release".)

   Remove the rear seat cushion. (Refer to Body group - "Seat")

   Remove the cover (A).

   Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

   Disconnect the quick-connector (B) from the fuel feed hose.

   Disconnect the vapor hose (C).

   Disconnect the quick-connector of the evaporation tube from the canister (D).

   Disconnect the filler hose (A), fuel level regulator hose (B), and vapor hose (C).

   Remove the bolts securing the brake line bracket (A).

    Loosen the fuel tank strap mounting nuts (B).
11. 11
    Lower the fuel tank (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

    

REMEDY

1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order. Fuel tank strap nut: 39.2 ~ 54 N·m
