Front Ventilated Seats
In this manual: Your Vehicle's Safety System
~1min read

Ventilated seats are provided to cool the front seats by airflow through small ventilation holes on the surface of the seat cushions and seatbacks.
When the air conditioning is not operating, keep the seat ventilation switch in the OFF position.
With the engine running, press the driver's seat or front passenger's seat ventilation switch (if equipped).
- Each time you press the switch, the airflow changes as follows:

- If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds, the ventilated seat operation will turn off.
- The ventilated seat default setting is OFF whenever the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the ventilated seat:
- Use the ventilated seat ONLY when the climate control system is on. Using the ventilated seat for a long time with the climate control system off may cause the ventilated seat to malfunction.
- Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
- Avoid getting liquid on the surface of the front seat cushions and seatbacks; it may clog the ventilation holes so they do not operate properly.
- Do not place materials such as plastic bags or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake, causing the ventilation holes to not operate properly.
- Do not change the seat covers. This may damage the ventilated seat.
- If the ventilation holes do not operate, restart the vehicle. If there is no change, we recommend that you have your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI service center.
