Seat Heaters and Ventilated Seats

Front Seat Warmers

The seat heater is designed to warm the seat in cold weather.

WARNING

Seat heaters can cause SERIOUS BURNS, even at low temperatures, especially if used for extended periods. Occupants must be able to feel if the seat becomes too warm so that they can turn it off if necessary. Persons who cannot detect temperature changes or pain in the skin should exercise extreme caution, especially the following types of occupants:

• Infants, children, elderly or disabled persons, or outpatients.
• Persons with sensitive skin or those who burn easily.
• Fatigued persons.
• Persons under the influence of alcohol.
• Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness or sleepiness.

WARNING

NEVER place anything on the seat that insulates against heat when the seat heater is operating, such as a blanket or seat cushion. This may cause the seat heater to overheat, resulting in burns or seat damage.

NOTICE

To avoid damage to the seat heaters and seats:

• Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
• Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat heaters.
• Do not replace the seat covering. This may damage the seat warmer.

With the engine running, press either of the seat heater switches for the driver's seat or front passenger's seat.

In mild weather, or when the seat warmth is not needed, keep the switch in the OFF position.

• Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

• If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat is at the warmest setting, the seat heater will turn off.
• The seat heater default setting is OFF whenever the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

Information

With the seat heater switch in the ON position, the seat heating system turns off or on automatically depending on the seat temperature.
