Air Conditioning

All HYUNDAI air conditioning systems are charged with environmentally friendly R-134a refrigerant.

1. Start the vehicle.

2. Press the air conditioner button.

3. Set the mode to the face level position.mode.

4. Set the air intake control to the recirculation position. However, prolonged operation in recirculation mode will excessively dry the air. In this case, change the air intake position.

5. Adjust the fan speed and temperature for maximum comfort.

If maximum cooling is required, set the temperature control to the extreme left position, then set the fan speed control to maximum speed.

• If the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight in hot weather, open the windows briefly to release the hot air from the vehicle interior.
• After sufficient cooling has been achieved, switch the air intake control from recirculation back to fresh outside air.
• To reduce humidity inside the windows on rainy or humid days, reduce the humidity inside the vehicle by operating the air conditioning system with the windows and sunroof closed.
• Operate the air conditioning system for only a few minutes each month to maintain maximum system performance.
• If the air conditioner is operated excessively, the difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield temperature may cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, resulting in reduced visibility. In this case, set the mode selector knob or button toadjust the position and reduce the fan speed to a lower speed.
