Hybrid Battery SOC (State of Charge) Gauge

~1min read
Hyundai Ioniq. Hybrid battery SOC (State of Charge) gauge

This gauge shows the remaining charge of the hybrid vehicle battery. If the SOC is near the "L (Low)" level, the vehicle automatically starts the engine to charge the battery. However, if the service indicator (Hyundai Ioniq. Hybrid battery SOC (State of Charge) gauge) and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) (Hyundai Ioniq. Hybrid battery SOC (State of Charge) gauge) illuminates when the SOC gauge is near the "L (Low)" level, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

NOTICE

Never attempt to start the vehicle if the fuel tank is empty. In this condition, the engine cannot charge the high-voltage hybrid battery. If you attempt to start the vehicle when the fuel is empty, the high-voltage battery will discharge and may be damaged.
