Cleaning Upholstery and Interior Trim
Vinyl (if equipped)
Remove dust and loose dirt from vinyl with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean vinyl surfaces with a vinyl cleaner.
Fabric (if equipped)
Remove dust and loose dirt from the fabric with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean with a mild soap solution recommended for upholstery or carpets.
Remove fresh stains immediately with a fabric stain remover. If fresh stains do not receive immediate attention, the fabric may become permanently stained and its color may be affected. Also, its flame-resistant properties may be reduced if the material is not properly maintained.
NOTICE
Using any cleaning agents or procedures other than those recommended may affect the appearance, color, and flame-retardant properties of the fabric.
Leather (if equipped)
• Leather Seat Features
- Leather is made from the outer skin of an animal that undergoes a special treatment process before it is ready for use. As it is a natural product, each part differs in thickness or density.
Wrinkles may appear as a natural result of stretching and shrinking depending on temperature and humidity.
- The seat is made of elastic fabric for added comfort.
- The body-contacting parts are curved and the side support area is high, providing comfort and stability while driving.
- Wrinkles may appear naturally as a result of use. This is not a product defect.
CAUTION
- Wrinkles or wear that appear naturally through use are not covered by the warranty.
- Belts with metal accessories, zippers, or keys in rear pockets may damage the seat fabric.
- Be careful not to get the seat wet. This may change the characteristics of the natural leather.
- Jeans or clothing that may bleed color can stain the seat upholstery fabric.
• Leather Seat Care
- Vacuum the seat regularly to remove dust and sand from the seat. This prevents abrasion or damage to the leather and preserves its quality.
- Wipe the natural leather seat covering often with a dry or soft cloth.
- Using a proper leather protectant can prevent abrasion of the covering and helps preserve its color. Be sure to read the instructions and consult a specialist when using a leather covering or protective agent.
- Light-colored (beige, cream-beige) leather easily gets dirty and stains are noticeable. Clean the seats often.
- Avoid wiping with a damp cloth. This may cause the surface to crack.
• Cleaning Leather Seats
- Remove all contaminants immediately. See the instructions below for removing each type of contaminant.
- Cosmetic products (sunscreen, foundation, etc.)
Apply cleansing cream to a cloth and wipe the contaminated area. Wipe off the cream with a damp cloth and remove water with a dry cloth.
- Beverages (coffee, soft drinks, etc.) Apply a small amount of neutral detergent and wipe until the contamination disappears. Do not spread.
- Oil
Immediately remove oil with an absorbent cloth and wipe the stain with a remover used only for natural leather.
- Chewing gum
Harden the chewing gum with ice and remove gradually.
