"User Settings, Driver Assistance, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)"
FCA is deactivated when the driver cancels the system setting.

When the FCA system is turned off, the warning light illuminates on the LCD display. The driver can check the FCA ON/OFF status on the LCD display. In addition, the warning light illuminates when ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is turned off. If the warning light remains on when FCA is activated, we recommend having the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
• The driver can select the timing of the initial warning on the LCD display.
Go to "User Settings, Driver Assistance, Forward Collision Warning, Late/Normal/Early".
The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) initial warning timing options are as follows:
- Early:
When this setting is selected, the initial forward collision warning is activated earlier than normal. This setting maximizes the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle or pedestrian ahead before the initial warning is issued.
Even though "Early" is selected, if the vehicle ahead suddenly decelerates, the timing of the initial warning may not seem as early.
If you feel the warning is activated too early, set Forward Collision Warning to "Normal".
- Normal:
When this setting is selected, the initial forward collision warning is activated at the normal timing. This setting provides a standard distance between your vehicle and the vehicle or pedestrian ahead before the initial warning is issued.
- Late:
When this setting is selected, the initial forward collision warning is activated later than normal. This setting reduces the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle or pedestrian ahead before the initial warning is issued.
Select "Late" when traffic is light and driving speed is low.
