Description and Operation

Description

  1. The ESP OFF switch is used by the driver to disable the ESP system.
  2. The ESC OFF indicator illuminates when the ESC OFF switch is activated.

Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the lower driver airbag panel. (Refer to Body - "Driver Airbag Module")
  3. Remove the side ventilation duct [LH] (A).

  4. Loosen the guide screw and remove the ESP OFF switch (A).

  5. Check the continuity of the circuit between the terminals. If continuity is not as specified, replace the ESP OFF switch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
