Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

VIS 1 [Intake Manifold]
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  3. Disconnect the VIS actuator hose (A).
  4. Remove the VIS actuator (B).

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  7. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  8. Disconnect the VIS actuator hose (A).
  9. Remove the VIS actuator (B).

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
