Description

The charging system consists of the battery, an alternator consisting of an integrated regulator, and a wire and charge warning light. The alternator consists of eight built-in diodes, whose function is to convert alternating current to direct current. Thus, direct current comes out of the "B" terminal of the alternator. In addition, the charging voltage of this alternator is regulated by the battery voltage detection system. The alternator is regulated by the battery voltage measurement system. The main components of the alternator are the rotor, stator, rectifier, capacitor brushes, bearings and the poly-V belt pulley. The brush holder has a built-in electronic voltage regulator.

Generator Control System

The generator control system controls the charging voltage setpoint to improve fuel economy, controls alternator charging under various operating conditions, keeps the battery charged and protects the battery from overcharging. The ECM monitors the generated voltage for cycle efficiency (charge, discharge and normal control) depending on battery conditions and vehicle operating conditions. The system controls deceleration during vehicle acceleration. The vehicle reduces the load on the alternator and draws electrical current from the battery. The system controls the load during vehicle braking. The vehicle increases the load on the alternator and charges the battery.
