  • Under-Inflation/Leaking Tire Warning
  1. Activation Conditions
    • When the tire pressure is below the permitted threshold.
    • When the sensor detects a rapid leak.
    • Indicates that the tire must be inflated to adjust pressure or repaired.
  2. Deactivation Conditions
    • Under-inflation: When the tire pressure is above (warning threshold + hysteresis).
    • Rapid leak: When the tire pressure is above (leak warning threshold).
  3. Activation Conditions
    • When the system detects a malfunction external to the receiver/sensor.
    • When the system detects a receiver malfunction.
    • When the system detects a sensor malfunction.
  4. Deactivation Conditions
    • If the malfunction is considered "critical", the indicator remains on for the entire current ignition cycle (even if the DTC is cleared). This is because it is important to draw the driver's attention to this problem. During the next ignition cycle, the conditions will be checked again. If it occurs again, the indicator will remain on until the DTC check is completed.
    • "Non-critical" malfunctions are those that occur temporarily, such as low vehicle battery voltage. Therefore, the indicator turns off when the condition for DTC clearing is met.
  5. GENERAL FUNCTIONS
    • The system checks a number of inputs as they are received to determine whether a malfunction exists.
    • Malfunctions are ranked according to their most likely causes.
    • The maximum number of errors is 15.
    • Some malfunctions are not covered by DTCs. Main ones:
    K. Sensor thermal switch (above 257°F/125 °C °C).
    b. Ignition line is locked; requires warning lamps to be checked when the ignition is turned on for diagnosis.
