Operation

The push-button switch sends signals to the steering wheel heating module. Each press of the switch toggles the function ON and OFF. If power is interrupted during operation, the switch resets to the OFF state. Therefore, the steering wheel heating module is initialized in the OFF state.

Repair Procedures

INSPECTION

1. 1
   Measure the resistance of the NTC and the heating plate.

   • NTC resistance (Black/Yellow, Black): 10.0 kΩ ± 10% (25 °C)
   • Heating element resistance (Yellow, Black): 1.6~2.0 Ω ±10%
2. 2
   Measure the temperature.

   • The steering wheel rim surface temperature must rise from -20°C to 20 °C within 6 minutes
   • The steering wheel rim surface temperature must be maintained at 38 °C ± 4 °C after 25 minutes
   • At this time, activate all measurement points (1~8)

   Steering Wheel Heater Switch

   • Check the circuit continuity between the switch terminals with the steering wheel heater switch ON.
