Driver Attention Warning Malfunction and Limitations

If the Driver Attention Warning system does not operate normally, the "Check Driver" warning message of the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system may appear and () warning light may illuminate on the instrument cluster. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Driver Attention Warning Limitations

The Driver Attention Warning may not operate properly if:

• Your vehicle is driven aggressively or makes sharp side-to-side movements.
• Your vehicle frequently changes lanes intentionally.
• Another driver assistance system, such as Lane Keeping Assist, is controlling your vehicle's position within the lane.

Lead Vehicle Departure Alert

The Lead Vehicle Departure Warning may not operate properly:

A: Your vehicle, B: Lead vehicle

• If a vehicle cuts in front of your vehicle.

A: Your vehicle, B: Lead vehicle

• If the lead vehicle makes a sharp turn, such as a left or right turn or a U-turn.

• If the lead vehicle moves away abruptly.

• If there are pedestrian(s) or bicycle(s) between your vehicle and the lead vehicle.

• If the lead vehicle is parked in front of you in a parking lot and pulls away from you.

• If it is difficult to detect vehicles ahead because lanes ahead are merging or dividing, when your vehicle is stopped.

WARNING

The Driver Attention Warning may not operate for 15 seconds immediately after the vehicle is started or when the forward view camera is initializing.
