Electrochromic Mirror (ECM) (if equipped)
The electrochromic mirror automatically controls glare from the headlights of the vehicle behind you at night or in low-light conditions.
With the engine running, the auto-dimming function is controlled automatically by a sensor installed in the rearview mirror. The sensor detects the ambient light level around the vehicle and automatically adjusts to control glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you.
Whenever the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position, the mirror automatically switches to its brightest setting to improve the driver's view behind the vehicle.

To operate the electrochromic mirror:
- Press the ON/OFF button (1) to turn on the automatic dimming function. The mirror indicator light will illuminate. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the automatic dimming function. The mirror indicator light will turn off.
- The mirror defaults to the ON position each time the ignition key is turned.
CAUTION
When cleaning the mirror, use a paper towel or similar material dampened with glass cleaner. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the mirror, as liquid may enter the mirror housing and damage the rearview mirror.
