Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist Limitation

~1min read

When the front view camera is covered or blocked, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may be temporarily limited or malfunction.

The Forward Safety system is disabled. The Front camera blocked warning message may appear andandthe warning indicators may illuminate on the instrument cluster.

The function operates normally when such foreign material is removed and the engine is restarted.

If Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist does not operate normally after the sensor has been unobstructed or unblocked, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may malfunction even if there is no warning message or warning light on the instrument cluster.
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may not operate properly in an open area where no objects are detected (for example, an empty parking lot) or when the detection sensors are blocked right after the engine is started.
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may not operate properly even after the engine has been restarted when the detection sensors are blocked or there is a problem with the function.
