If the key is removed from the ignition switch or moved to the ACC or LOCK/OFF position while the headlights are on, the headlights (and/or parking lights) remain on for approximately 5 minutes. However, if the driver's door is opened and closed, the headlights turn off after 15 seconds.

The headlights can be turned off by pressing the LOCK button on the remote transmitter or smart key twice, or by turning the light switch to the OFF or AUTO position. However, if you turn the light switch to AUTO when it is dark outside, the headlights will not turn off.

CAUTION

If the driver exits the vehicle through any door other than the driver's door, the battery saver function does not operate and the headlight follow-me function does not turn off automatically. This may result in battery discharge. In this case, be sure to turn off the lights before exiting the vehicle.
