~1min read

To operate the lights, turn the knob on the end of the lever to one of the following positions:

(1) OFF position

(2) Parking light position

(3) Headlight position

(4) AUTO light position (if equipped)

Parking light position ( )

When the light switch is in the parking light position, the parking lights, license plate lights, and instrument panel lights are on.

Headlight position ( )

When the light switch is in the headlight position, the headlights, parking lights, license plate lights, and instrument panel lights are on.

AUTO light position

When the light switch is in the AUTO position, the parking lights and headlights will turn on or off automatically depending on the amount of light outside the vehicle.

Even with the AUTO light function active, it is recommended that you manually turn ON the headlights when driving at night or in fog, or when entering dark areas such as tunnels and parking garages.

CAUTION

  • Do not cover or spill anything on the sensor (1) located on the instrument panel.
  • Do not clean the sensor with glass cleaner. Residue may leave a light film that can interfere with sensor operation.
  • If your vehicle has tinted windows or other metallic coatings on the windshield, the AUTO light system may not operate properly.
