Rear Cross-Traffic Safety

With the ignition ON, go to User Settings > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety (for cluster type) or Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety (for infotainment type system) in the settings menu, and turn Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist on or off.

WARNING

When the engine is restarted, the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist is turned on. If Off is selected after the engine is restarted, the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist will not operate until the next time the vehicle is started.

Set Rear Cross-Traffic Safety to turn on Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Information

You can change the warning timing and warning volume for Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist from the settings menu. For more information, refer to "Driver Assistance System Settings" in this chapter.
