SRS Indicator Light

~1min read

The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) indicator light on the instrument cluster displays the airbag symbol as shown in the illustration. The light indicates whether there is a potential problem with the airbag system, which may include the side and/or curtain airbags used for rollover protection.

WARNING

If the SRS is malfunctioning, the airbags may not deploy properly in a collision, increasing the risk of serious injury or death.

Your SRS is malfunctioning under the following conditions:

  • The light does not come on for approximately three to six seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
  • The light remains on for approximately three to six seconds after the lights are turned on.
  • The light illuminates when the vehicle is moving.
  • The light flashes while the engine is running.

Have the SRS system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
