Installation of Hardtop
In this manual: KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
~1min read
If the door surrounds were installed from the soft top, they must be removed before installing the hardtop. For removal, refer to the procedure.
To install the hardtop, place it on the vehicle, making sure it sits flush with the body at the sides, and check to ensure an even gap between the raised window and the hardtop. Then follow the removal steps in reverse order.
NOTE:
- Inspect the hardtop seals for damage and replace if necessary.
- Torx screws securing the hardtop to the body must be tightened as follows, using the supplied No. 50 Torx screwdriver and ratchet:
- Hardtop to center pillar: 119 in-lbs +/- 23 in-lbs (13.5 N·m +/- 2.7 N·m)
- Hardtop to J-channel: 154 in-lbs +/- 30 in-lbs (17.5 N·m +/- 3.5 N·m)
