  1. To remove the spare tire from the carrier, remove the cover, if equipped.
  2. Remove the rear carrier cover by turning the locking bolt counterclockwise with a Torx #T40 screwdriver and ratchet from the supplied tool kit.

    Unlock Rear Carrier Cover

  3. Loosen the nuts with the lug wrench by turning them counterclockwise. If equipped, remove the locking nut with the locking wrench (located in the glove box) by turning it counterclockwise.
