Bulbs
WARNING - Working on Headlights
Before working on a headlight, firmly apply the parking brake, make sure the ignition key is turned to the "LOCK" position (smart key: stop the engine), and turn off the lights to avoid sudden vehicle movement, burned fingers, or electric shock.
Use only bulbs of the specified wattage.
CAUTION
Always replace a burned-out bulb with one of the same rating. Otherwise, the fuse or wiring system may be damaged.
CAUTION
If you do not have the necessary tools, suitable bulbs, and experience, we recommend contacting an authorized Kia dealer. In many cases, it is difficult to replace vehicle bulbs because other vehicle parts must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This is especially true if you need to remove the headlight assembly to access the bulb(s). Removing/installing the headlight assembly may damage the vehicle.
✽ NOTICE
After driving in heavy rain or washing the vehicle, the headlight and taillight lenses may fog up. This condition is caused by the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp. It is similar to condensation on your windows inside the vehicle during rain and does not indicate a problem with your vehicle. If water leaks into the bulb electrical circuit, we recommend having the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
