Parking Brake Inspection

Check parking brake travel by counting the number of audible clicks while fully applying the parking brake from the released position. Also make sure the parking brake holds the vehicle securely on a sufficiently steep slope. If the number of clicks is more or less than specified, we recommend that the system be serviced by an authorized Kia dealer.

Travel: 5 to 7 "clicks" at a force of 20 kg (44 lb, 196 N).
