Inspection

Inspection of Manual Transaxle Oil Level

1. 1

   Remove the under cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Cover")

2. 2

   Remove the fill plug (A).

   

3. 3

   Check the oil condition and make sure the oil level is correct (A).

   

4. 4

   Install the filler plug (A).

   Tightening torque: 58.9–78 N·m

   

5. 5

   Install the lower cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Cover")

Replacement

1. 1

   Remove the under cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Cover")

2. 2

   Remove the drain plug (A), allow the oil to drain, then reinstall the drain plug.

   Tightening torque: 58.9–78 N·m

   

3. 3

   Remove the fill plug (A).

   

4. 4

   Fill the manual transaxle with manual transaxle oil through the filler hole.

   Recommended:

   - SAE 70W, API GL-4

   • Recommended transaxle oil: SK HK MTF 70W, SHELL SPIRAX S6 GHME 70W, GS CALTEX GS MTF HD 70W

   Capacity:

   1.7–1.8 L (0.45–0.48 US gal, 1.80–1.90 US qt, 1.50–1.6 L Imp qt)

5. 5

   Install the filler plug (A).

   Tightening torque: 58.9–78 N·m

   

6. 6

   Install the lower cover.
